Arstech Joint Tape 100 mm x 90 m,

Arstech Joint Tape 100 mm x 90 m is a self-adhesive or non-self-adhesive (plain) reinforcement material designed to strengthen plasterboard (drywall) panel joints and prevent crack formation. With a width of 100 mm and a length of 90 meters, it offers high efficiency, especially for large-scale plasterboard applications.

User Information and Design Specifications

This product is primarily used by plasterboard installers, interior renovation teams, construction professionals, and decoration specialists. The main purpose of joint tape is to prevent fine cracks that may occur over time or due to structural movements at the joints where plasterboard sheets meet.

Material Type: High-quality elastomeric sealing membrane.

Width: 100 mm (50 cm). This is the standard and ideal width to conceal it under the joint compound and adequately cover the joint.

Length: 90 meters. Supplied in long rolls, this prevents frequent roll changes on large projects and speeds up workflow.

Ease of Application: In the case of mesh tape, its self-adhesive property allows it to be quickly placed over the joint and immediately covered by applying the first coat of joint compound.

Areas of Use and Sectors

Joint tape is a critical step in ensuring the aesthetic and structural durability of plasterboard systems.

Main Areas of Use:

Plasterboard Joints: Reinforcing the connection points (joints) and internal/external corners of plasterboard panels before gypsum filling.

Crack Repair: Used under plaster to prevent re-occurrence of existing hairline or fine cracks in walls or ceilings (plasterboard or plastered).

Corner Reinforcement: Providing extra durability to the corner joints of plasterboard partition walls.

Main Sectors Used In:

Interior Renovation and Decoration: Plasterboard suspended ceilings, partition walls, and niche applications.

Construction and Contracting: Construction of interior partition walls and ceilings in new buildings.

Drywall Systems: General plaster and putty application work.

Material Properties and Performance

The joint tape material should interact with plaster to form a permanent barrier against cracks.

Adhesive: An adhesive layer is present to provide a reliable grip and prevent the tape from slipping. This adhesive interacts with the applied plasterboard joint compound to create a stronger mechanical bond.

Flexibility: The flexibility of the tape allows it to easily adapt to irregular joint gaps or curved surfaces.

Durability: High-quality elastomeric sealing membrane.

Arstech Joint Tape (100 mm x 90 m), with its width and long roll size, provides efficiency in large projects while offering permanent crack prevention and high durability in plasterboard joints, making it an essential building material.
